For fifteen years, Fireclay Tile has been producing ceramic tiles by incorporating up to 60% recycled materials into the stone body of their product. This includes recycled glass, recycled granite dust, and recycled spent abrasives from sandblasting industrial water pipes. Following through on their commitment to using recycled materials, Fireclay recently began a new initiative whereby they are incorporating waste porcelain (sinks and toilets) into their Debris Series tile. The Debris Series recycled tile features over 70% recycled materials with the addition of landfill-bound recycled porcelain, including over 50% post-consumer recycled materials.

The Debris Series features over 112 glaze colors, creating one of the most beautiful, sustainable ceramic products on the market. Debris Series colors are unique and stunning, and the tile is truly sustainable—Made in the USA using locally sourced post-consumer and pre-consumer waste materials which are “up-cycled” into the highest quality ceramic tile. The result is a terra cotta colored stone body with a warm red-brown hue that is truly beautiful, unique, and sustainable. The Debris Series qualifies for LEED points and will enhance any installation.
